Terms of use
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and PitchUnion (“we”, “us”) covering your use of PitchUnion. By creating an account you accept them.
2. PitchUnion is in closed alpha
The service is under active development and provided for testing. Features may change or be removed, and interruptions are possible. Do not rely on PitchUnion as your only record of anything important, and keep your own copy of anything you would not want to lose.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over. Accounts are for adults only. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself.
4. Adding children
Only add a child if you are their parent or legal guardian, or if a guardian has asked you to. Keep their information accurate. The first guardian to add a child controls who else can see and change that child’s information. If you are a manager or coach, you must have a proper reason to hold the information you enter, and you must not use it for anything other than running the team.
5. How you may use it
Use PitchUnion for running and taking part in a grassroots football team. Do not attempt to reach information about teams or children you are not connected to. Do not copy, publish or pass on another family’s information. Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive or harmful, and do not use the team chat to harass anyone.
6. What you post
You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store and display it so the service works for your team. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
7. Safeguarding
If you are concerned about a child’s welfare, contact your club’s safeguarding officer and, where a child is at immediate risk, the police or your local authority. You can also raise a concern with us at safeguarding@pitchunion.co.uk. We may suspend an account while we look into a concern, and we may pass information to the appropriate authorities.
8. Availability and support
We do not promise the service will be available at any particular time during the alpha. We provide support on a best-efforts basis.
9. Our responsibility to you
We provide PitchUnion “as is” during the closed alpha. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of data, loss of profit, or indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Ending your use
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or where we need to for safeguarding or legal reasons.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
